#14	Anonymous Coward December 1, 2008 at 2:48pm metcalf has excellent technique. his style differs from jenkins but he executes the basics flawlessly. jenkins won't beat metcalf not only because jenkins will run out gas but because metcalf has better technique. reply
#13	Anonymous Coward December 1, 2008 at 2:28pm socal is right. Metcalf is a beast, but if you get someone like bubba jenkins, who is slick and technically better, he will lose. Unfortunately Bubba didn't have the gas last year to beat him, but almost everytime they faced jenkins was winning on two takedowns or more before gasing out and losing. Metcalf is in great shape, and will beat jenkins and sometimes schlaetter because of that. but technically schlaetter and jenkins are much better. reply
#12	Anonymous Coward December 1, 2008 at 9:58am maybe it's just me, but Metcalf's technique looks worse this year than last. yea he is taking people down, and hand fighting. however he is reaching up, out of position, flaying around. idk to me it just looks like he needs to slow and stop getting so out of position. reply

He was undefeated in high school wrestling with 4 Michigan state titles. He also earned 6 junior national titles in the Olympic style of wrestling. College fans across the nation had to wait an extra year to see his return because he transfered to Iowa and was denied his freshman season by his former school. In 2008 he won the 149lb National Championship and was named the Dan Hodge Trophy winner.
