he is verry right about the mental state you need to have if not you can start to coast and your only as good as you practice

Best interview with Metcalf I've seen. Very interesting to se how he approaches his training on a daily basis. How he stays motivated through the grind. How he tries to prepare himself for the monotony and gruel of the college wrestling season. It's all about attitude, "put on a happy face"! He loves the sport and desires to be the best he can be. He has overcome the difficult loss of last year and uses it as motivation. Good for him and good luck the remainer of the season!

Bottom Line say Metcalf has a final college record of 135-2 and those two loses are by the same wrestler by pin and 11-6. Ouch that will keep u up at night !.........and it is not auotmatic that he will win it this year. 149 is a tough weight class and this guy has a big bullseye on his back !

I wish this was true. But everyone knows if Metcalf wrestled caldwell again he would kill him. Theres no hating on him. He is the best in the country and WILL remain the best in the country. yea i remember his brother he beat ryan lang...and he was a high schoolnational champion its to bad. Stop hating on metcalf cause he lost a match and got mad when caldwell show boated and spit right in his face people. Seriously!

Metcalf has an excellent skill set in order to create intended results in his life.
How about this adjustment: If you lose; give the winner a sincere congratulation.

Metcalf will only win a championship because caldwell is redshirted,plain and simple.

Godcalf's children will be known as Jesuscalfs. He did have an older brother (Chase) that was a stud and went to Michigan, sadly he was killed in a car accident around his soph. year. I'm not sure if he has any other siblings. Good luck to Brent and the rest of the Hawkeyes!

I was expecting Metcalf to sound like a tool like he has in all of his other interviews. In this one he sounds human and like a resonable person.
