on a wrestling video talking about the importance of wrestling videos hmmmm
kidding aside Ernie has done alot for NJ wrestling you can go into any room in the state and they know about the edge. The first time I heard about the edge was back in high school in upstate NY, I remember hearing Griff Powell was crossing the border into jersey and going to the edge and havin some battles with Donnie Pritzlaff

Three guys go to heaven and plead their case to God. First guy says, "I'm Damion Logan, I've won 3 state titles two time AA and have the best facilities in the country. I should get in." Second guy says, "I'm Scott Goodale, i've been the coach of the year twice and I'm bringing Rutgers Wrestling to a respectable level. I should get in." Third guy says, "I'm Ernie Monaco, and you're in my seat!"

When you think that Donnie Pritzlaff, Zack Esposito, Steve Mocco, Joe Dubuque, Nick Fekete, and Kurt Backes, are all former Edge guys that will make a legit run at making the US Olympic Team in 08. Thats nuts! Maybe someone could convince Mat Valenti, Dave Espo, Cory Cooperman, and Glenn Pritz to join their fellow alum. Best of luck to those Edge guys following their dream.

If you have not seen Ernie do his thing in the coach's corner, then you have never seen a brother in the coach's corner do his thing. Ern you are the man and will always be my sensei. I went ronin for a while there but it all starts and ends with you. You are to wrestling what the Kennedy's were to politics, without the assasinations and other weird stuff. One in a million, just dont forget what I said to you at the wake the other day. You still laugh at that.

Great interview Ern. You are one of the greatest coaches a wrestler could have and I was (and am still) lucky to have you in my corner with tips and advice. Great video Martin. I'd love to see more.

Is that Harry A Moore? The term coach does not do ernie justice- he is a mentor/friend/family/motivator and coach all in one. One of the true icon's in the sport of wrestling. I, nor most of my generation would not be where we are today if it wasn't for ernie.

Our club is one of a kind because of you.Your way w/the athletes (no matter who they are or their age)is unique. Many have tried to copy the Edge but, still fall short because the main ingredient is you. You have much to be proud of.

this is exactly what our young wrestlers need
the first step to making wrestling more popular is to at least have our participants kno what is going on with our world and olympic team
if wreslers themselves dont even kno who our current greatest wrestlers our how can we excpect our sport to grow with new fans
