No one cares about freshman nationals, it's only good at like the 103 pound weight class because that's where all the frosh are. Honestly how many good starters are in the middle weights as freshman, plus it was on a wed, thurs, and friday. Unlike senior nationals which is on friday, sat, sunday. Most people that are farther away from VA beach won't miss school all three days that week, I know in NJ many of the schools had school all this week and that was a big part of many kids not going to frosh and soph nationals. Senior Nationals are on weekend and what matters. PA SUCKS, half decent NJ ALL STAR team with only 2 state champs beat PA's best district 11, with PA state champs just a little while ago. PA IS NOT BETTER

Keep wrestling your tournament with 3 divisions. Yeah that's really tough. My cousin that never wrestled could win it. Easy OHIO, NJ's tournament is way tougher. One tournament with everyone baby.

Are you kidding me? Graham is number 1 right now and will EASILY hold that rank for the next 3 years. Yes, Blair can pull in kids from wherever they want, but the incoming freshmen/8th grade class has talent that blows this years team (the same team that absolutely OWNED Blair at Ironman) away.

Secondly, St. Ed's is pretty good? Who was #1 in the nation last year? And great Blair was where?

Ohio had 5 teams in the top 40 at various points in the year, and one of them wasn't even top 5 at state in DI.

So yes, Ohio's state tourney lacks a lot of depth, but if Ohio had 1 division, it would be hands down the hardest state tournament in the country to win.

And by the way Monroeville is not one of the 15 best teams in Ohio.

Ohio has one legit school and that is St. Paris Graham. St. Ed's isnt bad either. Monroeville is good for its size. Ohio is sexy but NJ is pure love.

said because NJ is so close. It took me 7 hours to get to virginia beach from my home in NJ, just as far as for someone from PA which is a great wrestling state, and not to far for Ohio. It's not like it was in nj or even a border state. get a geography lesson whatever moron wrote that.

The best wrestling in the country for a section is def region 6 in NJ. Winston, Turner, Langel, Van Dunk, Reid, they had 7 of the 14 NJ state champs from this part of the state.

i take my other posts back New Jersey is much better than PA, and Ohio can sleep talk once again... Van Dunk is a true example of Region 6 Nj product 3rd in the region, 3rd in the state, and 3rd in that nation. heck Van dunk didnt even win a district title last season and is still dominating those PA and Ohio PHENOMS

plus think about it . . . the tournament was close to NJ. If it had been, say on the West coast, then clearly California would have won the darn thing.

Most of the good OHIO wrestlers didn't even come . . . and the ones that did either won the tournament or placed. Heck the junior 125 champion didn't even place at state in Ohio. Not saying we would have cleaned up but we would have been a lot more respectable than where we finished.

Wrestling in the NJ Shore area has to be the most competitive in the nation. Winston and Langel probably live only 15 minutes from one another, add Reid, Van Dyke, Turner the Super 32 215 champ from Howell who beat Haddad a couple of weeks ago, Fobes - Super 32 champ, Menditto, all within a 25 mile radius. Just a hotbed to develop scholastic talent. What seperates the shore from everywhere else is all of the feeder programs and top notch HS coaches (Gagliano, Rivera, George, Nase, Withstandly, etc.) who bring collegiate experience and intensity into the HS and club rooms. Say what you want about NJ, but I would challenge anyone to put together a 2 county all star team from anywhere is the nation that could win against Monmouth and Ocean counties in NJ.

Your one that one it is the best to ever come out of your state, and would of won it anywhere. Your quote depth you always talk about didn't look to great considering you lost to NJ and Michigan. Who cares that Jordan Oliver won it, hes a beast and would anywhere. NJ has guys like Joey Langel that didn't even make it out of regions last year win senior nationals. EASY PA EASY!!!

is garbage. NJ and Michigan are better, plus nicer states. Beaches of NJ, lakes of Michigan what the hell does PA have, dirty Filthadelphia and dirty steel down Pittsburgh and poor Rednecks between makes up the rest of that crap state. NJ isn't the armpit of America, maybe Newark and Camden but most of NJ is much much nicer than PA. PA should be seperated from the UNION!

Take a look at the top 40 teams in the Country, Pa has 6. Thats the most of any state. Who had more kids at NCAA's? Who had more kids place? Who has more high school AA's? Nj and Ohio are good and always getting better but Pa is still the best state for wrestling. Facts are facts.
