- See Less -Bob Ferraro?s accomplishments with wrestling are on and off the mat. As an youngster he grew up in Easton PA in a poor blue collar neighborhood and was part of the first Easton wrestling teams. Easton has since developed into one of the nations premier high school wrestling programs year in and year out.
The toughness that Bob learned from the streets of Easton PA he applied to the wrestling room where he had great success and earned himself a scholarship to Indiana State University. At Indian State he became an NCAA All American and NCAA runner up.
But that was just the beginning of Bob Ferraro?s accomplishments with wrestling. He got a head coaching position at Bucknel, a perennial wrestling loser, and put the team in the top 20 for the first time. Using every creative method he could conjure up he created a program that the small community of Bucknel avidly supported.
In the Late 80s and Early 90s Bob Ferraro left Bucknel to start the NHSCA, (National High School Coaches Association). He held the first high school national championship for wrestling, the first high school national championship in any sport. Since those infancy days the NHSCA has grown to be a power house within wrestling.
