- See Less -Mark Churella from his freshman year of college showed something special when he took 3rd at the NCAA tournament, but that was just a taste of his skill. He went on to become a three time NCAA champion. He is considered one of the all time greats, and was especially known for his pinning ability.
Mark Churella has gone on to be successful in Real Estate and has raised a family in Michigan that includes three of his sons: Mark, Ryan and Josh. All three sons have followed in his footsteps and wrestled at U of Michigan. Josh is still currently wrestling under Coach Joe McFarland.
