Danny Mitcheff started out at Lorain Southview High School in Lorain, Ohio. He then transferred to Elyria High School and wrestled for coach Erik Burnett and was Freestyle AA in Fargo and a division I State Champion. After a redshirt year Danny burst onto the national scene with a 2-2 finish at NCAA's as a freshman. In his sophmore year he had a disappointing performance at NCAA's. This year he is back with a renewed scence of confidence.
