Coach McCoy is happy with the team that he has taken over and feels he can prepare them for a successful tournament in March. He talks about the transition to Maryland that happened at the same time as the Olympics, where he was a coach, and around the time when his son was born.

He wasn't short on talent and by the end of his sophomore year he began having success on the national level. He won a state title in New York and went to Penn State University. At Penn State Kerry McCoy turned the corner at the end of his freshman year. He bumped up to heavy weight and exploded on the scene his sophomore year. He won the NCAA tournament in 1994 and 1997 and that was only the beginning. He continued on and went to the Olympics in 2000 and 2004. Kerry McCoy was on numerous World Teams and had incredible success throughout his career.
