Does everyone forget there are 9 other wrestlers on that team? I'm sure those 9 were not expecting Varner to win the whole darn thing for them. Get real! reply

His strengths are avoiding the take down, scrambling and being on top, he is strong in the tie up but has to work on his take downs. because of this style he will always slow the match down and win by only a few points against the better wrestlers. i still think he's the best at his weight reply

As a freshman at Iowa State, under head coach Bobby Douglas, Cael stepped onto the mat for his first collegiate bout and began a streak of continuous victories that never ended. He competed through what is considered the most grueling wrestling, collegiate wrestling, for four years and always ended on top. He finished his career 159-0. Cael Sanderson is the only wrestler ever to be a four time undefeated national champion. He then went on to the Olympics and, in a story book fashion, took home the gold medal. At the Age of 26, Cael Sanderson is the head coach for Iowa State Cyclones, one of the most successful wrestling programs in American History.
