Two New Jersey natives from different colleges and a passionate radio broadcaster chimed in with their thoughts about Friday’s hiring and Monday’s press conference announcing Cael Sanderson as the new head coach at Penn State University. David Zabriskie talked on his feelings from Iowa State, Dan Vallimont discussed his from the Penn State front and longtime voice of PSU Nittany Lion Jeff Byers gave a view from outside the practice room on the goings on in State College.

As a freshman at Iowa State, under head coach Bobby Douglas, Cael stepped onto the mat for his first collegiate bout and began a streak of continuous victories that never ended. He competed through what is considered the most grueling wrestling, collegiate wrestling, for four years and always ended on top. He finished his career 159-0. Cael Sanderson is the only wrestler ever to be a four time undefeated national champion. He then went on to the Olympics and, in a story book fashion, took home the gold medal. At the Age of 26, Cael Sanderson is the head coach for Iowa State Cyclones, one of the most successful wrestling programs in American History.
