Tim Cysewski and his team helped spark a dynasty with Iowa University when he began wrestling there in 1972. He took 3rd his senior year and built off his successes on the collegiate level to help him with his freestyle wrestling. Cysewski rattled off three straight Freestyle National titles.

Tim Cysewski came back to the Chicagoland area where he grew up and began coaching at Northwestern University. In grand style, he opened up his coaching career when he led the wildcats in 1990 to a Third place finish in the Big Ten and fourth place finish nationally. His team is back in the running as they posted a 13th place finish in the NCAA tournament in 2006.
