Mark Branch with the University of Wyoming has high expectations from his team. Before the tournament he shared those expectations with Flo but does not share them with his team. In early round competition the University of Wyoming Cowboys looked strong winning several bouts. Last year no one made it to the second day.

In the next three years, he proved that his title wasn't a fluke by making it to the NCAA national finals each year. He repeated his freshman feat as a senior, becoming a four time finalist with two NCAA Championships. Branch is a former assistant coach for the Oklahoma State Cowboys, where he helped lead the Cowboys to 4 straight national championship titles. Branch is now the Head Coach for the Wyoming Cowboys.
