I saw the Barzakov/Dabir world final on TV, it was awful. Dabir got cautioned for clinching incorrectly in OT ((in Bulgaria, against a Bulgarian) and that was the match.
Did Barzakov win another world title?
Barzakov was 1st in 1998 (over Kenari IRI), 2nd in 2000 (to Umakhanov), 1st in 2001 (over Dabir IRI), 2nd in 2003 (to Farniev), and 2nd in 2005 (to Murtazaliev). He was also a 4x Euro champ.

is it me or am i the only one who thinks alot of the international matches, the first 75 percent of the match there is a more domanating who is controlling the entire match and then they gas and either lose the match completley or make it way to close like this match
So if a Soviet takes the American down then turns him twice in the first minute of the match while his gas tank is still full, the American is going to have a horribly difficult time to score 5 or 6 takedowns during the remainder of the match against an opponent who is stalling and using injury time (yes, cold spray too). I do not agree with this style but unfortunately it works.
Yaa, Jordanov won in 1990 (I think). Than Zeke won the year later.
Didn't Jones defeat Jordanov on one occasion?
Great Match, I love the crowd. I remember watching a video of a tournament in Tehran and the place was just nuts.
BTW, can you post a video of Jordanov, I know hes one of the greatest wrestlers but the only video of him winning Ive seen was the match against Zeke Jones.

Was this the WC's where Kurtanidze arm spun Heidari from the clinch? What a slick move that was...

This has to be one of the greatest world championships ever. The Romero Adam Saitiev match was also awesome. Heidari/ Kurtanizde, Mussubles/ ARod. Every match was very good.

Did Brands beat Tedeev in 96 or was he on opposite side?
Tedeev gives a clinic on ankle picks. Dabir makes a great comeback to tie it up and send it into OT.
One of the better matches over the last couple of years IMO. The Iranian fans are unvelievable too. I wish I could've been there.
Enjoy.
