Okie State loaded so Chris Perry redshirts. Can you say 4 NCAA titles? And what about McNeil? He did well at this weight. Does Foster drop to 184 next year? wow

Maybe we can read a little more into it now after Perry's victory over Kirk Smith at the trials

I wouldn't read too much into his victory over Wright Bigten. Remember Wright was wrestling at this time last year (and later) and is still growing into his college weight of 174......most wrestlers he faced this year were noticably more developed. I assume that Perry had a bit more size and possibly strength. Given their High School weights, I don't expect to see them at the same weight in College.

I assume Wright could have made 174 for this tourny also...perhaps Mark had something to do with Q wrestling up a weight here!!
please revise to state...Remember Wright was wrestling at 163 at this time last year(and later) and is still growing into his college weight of 174....

I thought Wright would win as well, but Perry is going to be a good one. Keep in mind the weight difference though. Wright wrestled 174 this year while Perry wrestled 189 in HS. Maybe Wright is trying to fatten up and move up?

I think anyone with the opportunity to go to Blair would come out a better wrestler......look at how much Ruth has advanced this year!

I'm a little more disappointed he didn't come to Penn State after listening to the interview........seems like a good kid to go along with being a great wrestling prospect..... would have been a nice fit with Quentin Wright and Edward Ruth at Penn State!! Oh well, I wish him the best of luck, most of the time ;-) !

He had to go to Iowa. Johnny Thompson was rockin' for OSU at the time. Mark made the best decision knowing what he knew at the time.

Mark should have went to OSU. I'm an Iowa fan all the way but it just seems that his wrestling and body style could have been better developed by Smith.

I thought Wright would beat Perry. Would the NCAA format help Wright or do you expect the same result?
