What are u talking about? It's spelled Arujau because that's how it was transliterated in Belarus. The 'O' is pronounced like an 'A' sound and they use the letter 'U' is sometimes used to represent the 'V' at the end. Nick's mother's last name is actually Oroudjova (or Arujava) which is the feminine form of Oroudjov. The same way Petrov would become Petrova or Yarygin would become Yarygina.

nick is vougars son. the reason for nicks last name Arujau, and vougars Oroudjov is because in russia the kids take the mothers last name. nicks mothers last name is arujau.

I remember vougar used to drop us off in the mountians at 5:00 in the morning 7 miles up in the mountains in the pitch black and we would have to use head lamps to run back t town. Not to mention how scary it was being in the van when this guy was driving.

WHAT VOUGAR DOES COMES STRAIGHT FROM HIS HEART. HE TREATED MY SONS LIKE FAMILY. WHETHER IT BE AT THE NASSAU CLINIC OR AT A WRESTLING TOURNAMENT HE WAS ALWAYS THERE FOR THEM. ALWAYS THE BIG SMILE, AND ALWAYS ADVICE. HE ASKED FOR NOTHING IN RETURN. ONE TIME AFTER A NASSAU CLINIC HE HAD SEVERAL GUYS CLIMBING A ROPE. THEY ALL STRUGGLED. HE TOOK 1 ROPE IN 1 HAND AND THE OTHER IN THE OTHER HAND. HE FLEW UP THOSE ROPES LIKE HE WAS CLIMBING A LADDER. HE TRULY TOUCHES ALL THAT ARE FORTUNATE TO BE IN HIS COMPANY.

everyone who knows this guy knows how motivating and fun he is to be around. he is just one of those guys thats breeds excellence in everyone that he is around. he has so much energy and enthusiasm for the sport and life. not to mention that he can walk into a room of legit wrestlers and beat all of them despite being only 130. a true competitor and just a great man. funny as hell to boot. hofstra should work on gettin him in the room more (i know they had him for a little and that they have dubuque but a guy like this is too great to not have)

It is different in Russia. They care about the overall growth of the sport and being good at it. We don't. At least not at the college level.

There is WAY TOO MUCH emphasis on youth tournaments. Everyone wants to be the next "World" champion at age 6. By age 12 most are burnt out or passed up. Sure a few sneak through, but msot don't.

We also take the fun out of the sport, thus the reason for kids burning out.

The secrets of why Russia (the caucases) has better wrestlers than us, are contained in his jumbled words. Fun early on - not focussing on winning and losing, but on execution/defense and match focus - Make your family happy.... Later: Focus is very much on winning and it is tied to money and honor for your family....Powerful stuff many of us just do not get

you must show good focusing ha ha. I wish I had a sweet accent, then one of two things would happen. 1) I would be a bad wrestler like Vougar or B) I would get lots of chicks.
