I loved seeing Scott win. Jason is obviously so talented. It was great that the match happened, but I think these two will be going at it for years to come. It is only going to help the sport. I hear Welch is a great kid. I know Scottie is. Their development will bring us all entertainment and reasons for discussion to come.

At the Midlands Tournament, in a matchup between the 2008 #1 & #2 ranked recruits in the nation, Rutgers' Scott Winston used a five point move in the 3rd period to defeat Northwestern's Jason Welch in the wrestleback semfinal by a score of 6-1. Winston will now wrestle for 3rd place..welcch got OWNED

You NJ guys crack me up - Can't even get your facts straight! Winston lost to Emanuel Brooks who was then pinned by Welch. Welch is now in the semis and Winston is in the wrestlebacks.

Winston lost to Clarion's Harrison Hadley a few weeks ago....And Welch beat Hadley this past weekend. If Winston and Welch meet at Midlands - Welch prevails!

Well he just got decked in under a minute for his first Collegiate loss. Winston also lost his first Collegiate match, but cam back later in the tourney to beat the guy. At least Winston didn't get decked in under a minute.
