Adam TirapelleClovis HS WeightsApril 29, 2008 Clovis HS has won eight California State championships where over 800 teams compete for 1 state title. Year in and year out they are in the hunt. Part of the reason is that they are coached by Tirapelles. Adam Tirapelle was a 2001 NCAA champion at Illinois and now he has brought his knowledge back to the central valley.

my guess is there is no way in hell zimmer will let cook leave without paying the price. we all know how he went after rodriguez when he left. seems zimmer has no problem playing bully to kids and grownups alike. he doesnt care whats best for the kids. hes in it for himself and his own kid
Clark kids that are now wrestling Varsity at Clovis HS. Tyler Ceremello, Cameren Kelley, Ben Omata, Jonathan Gay, Ben Kelley, Vincent Rubio (Lemoore) Jeremy Simons, Alec Dieter, Tommy Burriel, Brandon Ferrera, Scott Sakaguchi, and Stephen Weimer just to name a few. If memory serves me right, those kids have been on very good teams, including the last State Championship team.
jealous much? You sound like a broken record . lol "the best, the best, the best," ad nauseum. Statistics just show the facts. There isn't anything wrong with showing stats, as long as there are no accusations of wrongdoing. People should appreciate this valuable information. It just shows that wrestling for Clovis Schools is beneficial to those who choose to take that big step. -- more math, most coaches who have talented sons and daughters have some obvious advantages over most other athletes. If they are also very gifted and focused, then you have a gold mine that is hard to beat. I don't see how the statistics has "proven" anyone to be phony. It just proves that talented kids get good coaching whether they are originally from Clovis or elsewhere. Clovis actually got a great plug from it. Accept the kudos and move on. -- yeah, I think you are just a Zimmer hater. Clovis West has had great success under his leadership, and they placed high in the state because of it.
"Zimmer and Cook place 2nd, and with Fisher placing 3rd, it gave CW enough points to place 7th in state. 5 of the top 10 teams were from the central valley. I do consider that great success considering the toughness of the tournament. Just because you don't like coach Zimmer is no reason for you to argue with me about the man. The results are in, and CW placed higher than about 800 other teams and below only 6 better teams."
he is a pathetic jealous person that was fired and now is a hater against the program that has so much success.
you stated in an earlier post that the kids of CW had great success under zimmer and placed high at state. Who exactly did he coach? CW took the exact same amount of kids to state last year and which one was other than his son did he teach anything to that they didn't already no? Those boys would of gone to state under any coach, with or without zimmer.
From 1998-2001 ('98 was coach T's first season):

31 state medals - 7 years (4.4 medals/year)
14 "clovis" medals
7 moved after Jr high
6 moved after attending another hs (4 were hs in clovis unified)

verdict = lots of success no matter how you slice it...Snapp
It looks like kids like wrestling for Clovis!
***Apply the three medals on an enter-district transfer to Clovis: 17T - 11C; 61% Transfer / 39% Clovis
The greatest contributing factor to an outward appearance of success is Multiple State Place Winners. In these years: 8 Multiple SPW; 7T - 1C; 87% Transfer / 13% Clovis: 17 Medals; 88% Transfers / 12% Clovis
These are not distorted numbers. YOU BE THE JUDGE!
This is a breakdown of Coach T's Move-In & Transfer vs. Home Grown State place winners over the last seven seasons. You can view the individual student athletes at http://www.cloviswrestling.com
For this analysis the Coach's son is excluded. Technically he is a transfer, but is a justified transfer. Analysis Excludes Tirapelle:
SPW=State Place Winners T=Transfer-Move In C=Clovis-Home Grown
2002: 2 SPW; 2T - 0C; 100% Transfer / 0% Clovis
2003: 6 SPW; 5T - 1C; 83% Transfer / 17% Clovis ***One Transfer could be Considered Clovis, Residence Clovis East Area, Boundary Change

2005: 1 SPW; 1T - 0C; 100% Transfer / 0% Clovis

No wonder this sport is dying, we're too busy about tearing eachother down to even think about uniting for a common cause.
Very sad.
"Also, don't be upset because the Tirapelli Family is honest and will tell you how it is!! The Truth hurts those who can't deal with it!! Steve Tirapelli has coached 3 of his sons to become State Champs more than once so, obviously he's doing things right!! Adam Tirapelli is a National Champion & 3X All-American and it's an Honor to coach, wrestle with or for him!! For this reason I, our kids and the rest of our coaching staff do a great job in the wrestling room! We have a High percentage of kids that wrestle in college. This year all 4 of our seniors will be wrestling in college! Because, our coaching staff does not exceed our limits in bringing new techniques that work to the wrestling room! I proud of what my high school coaches did for me but never took me to the next level!! At Clovis High we take you to the next Level!!"
If you have anything negative to say about this or to me Please I encourage you to give me a call 559-213-2912
quepaso..I would be careful who you are mocking here....you will meet your maker someday!!
laugh my off
The disgust with Clovis High appears to be from the outside
While the disgust with Clovis West appears to be from the inside
at least thats what i get from reading this thread.
questions......How would you know how parents talk about Clovis in the stands??? have you talked to all of them?? They have befriended everyone, that would include you I take it?? that worked out well. Explain this swooping??? How do you befriend someone who does not like you or Clovis??? you might want to see a Doctor about your illness!!!!!!!
Wait, maybe it's just the people in Clovis Unified who aren't allowed to move, huh.
but really speaking truly get a kick out of politician #2
you are missing the point, people hold the clovis coach responsible for his whinning and bitching and threats.
How can you argue please oh please throttle me with thruth that none of this has ever been the case here with that idiot
Or maybe your program is just a positive one, that brings other things to the table. it is also natural for poeple to want their kids to be in a situation that is benefits them.
And maybe the program they are in isn't working for them. maybe a personality conflict.
there's just lots of things that go into these decisions and recruiting is probably the least common one. I mean it's not like they can offer these kids money or perks. What many of the teams that constantly get accused if this offer is great coaching and great kids. People want a piece of that. No one has to talk any competitor inot wanting to be successful.
P.s. belts are for football and basketball players find a different sport buddy.
cause John Smith was very strong, from what i hear, and was a fairly skinny guy. any experts out there??
