I whole heartedly agree with the INTESITY displayed by Metcalf. Basically he showed his opponent that it was his mat and he did not belong. I assure you that his INTENSITY during the match allowed him to break his opponent mentally and while he did not score immediately, he scored points afterwords as a result. More importantly, this INTENSITY displayed by Brent Metcalf and the entire Iowa Hawkeyes team gives them a daunting reputation which aids them in their performance on the mats. No opponent wrestles his best if his mental focus is disrupted by an underlying nervousness created simply by Iowa's reputation on the mat.
Equally important, in regards to Brent Metcalf specifically, by breaking his opponent mentally during this match, later matches will likely be dominated to a greater extent, and the chance of his opponent going out and wrestling the greatest match of his life and somehow beating Metcalf is reduced exponentially.

That is what the sport is all about. Going out there and trying to embarass the other guy as best you can. Metcalf is a beast!

why would he have to push that guy like that there was no need...he wasnt planning anything to score he just wanted to look like hes the which we already know because he is an ncaa champion but why disrespect your opponent like that?
one of the greatest highlights tapes ever...you guys are ridiculous...one suggestion using the i movie put the name of the guy scoring up there...that way viewers can go back and watch the whole match
