I want to say Joe was a multiple placer here in MO. Believe it was a 3rd and a 5th, don't believe he ever won it. Wrestled for a championship team I believe in Blue Springs South.
That was Floreani's biggest accomplishment in high school. He might not consider being a CCL runner-up his biggest accomplishment in his wrestling career.

Dave, I will give you the names of the guys that Joe was behind in the line up at Mizzou and you can judge for yourself. Tyron Woodley, Matt Pell, Ben Askren, any of these ring a bell?
Martin's was a Chicago Catholic League runner-up finish in 1998 at 152 (pinned at 1:40), but never a state qualifier. He began wrestling as a junior for a pretty mediocre program, so he didn't give himself a lot of time to develop. I've only heard stories about how good he could have been given four years in the sport. His younger brother, Mark, was a more accomplished athlete and an All-American long distance runner for the University of Texas.
Awesome video for these young men and former collegians! Wrestling is obviously a sport which looks much easier than it actually is. These two guys, who have been out of the loop for a few years, watch elite wrestling day and in day out and I am sure they have a better appreciation for it after their match. Great stuff guys, keep it coming!
They have been out of practice for a few years. I would have thought that Joe's shoes were filled with concrete here, but he wasn't wearing any.....strange.
hahaha very cool...what kind of wrestling backgrounds to martin and joe have, they are obvioulsy huge fans of the sport but any highschool/college accomplishments?
I would take either of these 2 over Askren.
