Downriver native Tony Venturini from Romulous clinches the State Championship by defeating Denny Rapal of West Bloomfield. Venturini went on to wrestle at Eastern Michigan and was a 3x MAC Champion 1990-1992. Rapal would become the MHSAA 103lbs. State Champion in 1989.
