![]() #6 | you could of won with that cement job.Instead you should of used a cement mixer.*I did a higher slam than that and it wasn't illegal. reply |
![]() #5 | I didnt mean to pile drive him. I was wrestling HWY all season and it was my first match at 215's. The other coach moved up the 189 to wrestle me. I had been wrestling guys 100 lbs heavier, and did not intentionally mean to slam him. He was fine and wrestled that weekend. The ref told me the reason for disqualification was my knee not coming down first. reply |
#4 | The slam was blatantly illegal. Regardless of the knee, in scholastic wrestling, you can't pile drive your opponent's head directly into the mat. It's illegal because you can break a neck, paralyze or even kill someone. reply |
#3 | that was ot illegal... well i dont think so it was a freestyle slam but becasue he did bring his knee down i think it should not have been called illegal reply |
![]() #2 | Ref said that he didnt bring his own knee to the mat first? I thought it was legal, but what can you do? reply |
#1 | That was an illegal slam. reply |
Wrestling High School Kyle Starling illegal slam 215 soph year vs Air Academy Duel 2008
December 3, 2008Kyle was anticipating wrestling one of the top ranked 215 in CO for Air Academy. Kyle pinned him in earlier tournament so at the last second the AA coach put in a 189 lb wrestler and moved up the 215 to wrestle Ramparts heavy. Kyle was pissed and took it out on his oppent. Starts out slow but in the last ten seconds Kyle takes him back to the mat hard. The slam at the end was ruled a technical foul and he was disqualified.
