Heil wrestled 102 at his Jr. High state championships. I think Cortez is entering the 8th grade this year. He was in 7th when this match occured. Both Great wrestlers.

Amen on the age situation. Doesn't Cortez have his temps? Afterall, he IS a 8th grader now, right? Gone to IL from what I hear.

Good match between two great youth wrestlers. Both Ohio kids but will be in different divisions in HS. Heil looks considerably bigger. Cortex is a machine

Looks like the space was pretty tight....hard to keep the focus without getting all the other surrounding matches.....but good job in spite of cramped space. Thanks.

Agree with last post, Heil not hungry. He did not attack like in earlier matches. He had to be on cloud 9 or emotional roller coaster, after beating Valencia in semis. Valencia, unbeaten in long- long time, was a finals match in itself.

Heil did not look hungry. He beats up on who he is supposed to beat and then is in survival mode for the finals. Good job Cortez, your family is proud of you.

I'm just a fan like everyone else and I just posted the matches that everyone wanted to see. I'm not a play by play guy by any means and truth be told, I doubt that I would be any good at it. All the matches I post won't have any play by play commentary.

Good video, but since I'm a newcomer to watching wrestling, can you over speak a play by play after you do the video? Voice over...is the term I think. It would help alot of us who don't know too much about the sport.

Great match. Cortez wrestled smart. Well coached. Heil looks huge! He looks like two weight classes bigger. Both very accomplished for this age. Wow!
