Looks to me that Ramos might be having some other issues outside wrestling and brought them on the mat with him this match. Or he was just having a bad day his mind was frustrated and he wasn't comepletely focused.
how could you even say that the AV kid didn't dominate Ramos...
if you make a kid flip out and quit in mid-match, I wouldn't call it anything else but domination.
and people can say he got screwed outta points all they want but thats never a reason to stop in a match.
also, the first injury time was a completely for no reason other than to try to calm himself down
(definition of a headcase)
even if he wrestled up a weight class ramos should of beat that kid , was he just not wrestling good or is that other kid good ???
ramos looked pretty dumb at the end. think hes been hanging around britney spears to much!!!!!crazy
Vince's toe tapped out and back in while securing a TD back in the first. Ruling: OOB. Craig's toe tapped out and back in while securing a TD in the second. Ruling: TD.
As an official, I hate to criticize another official, but come on....
I'd heard about the "home cooking" that went on this weekend and didn't believe it, but after viewing some of the video it's hard to dispute.
I was at the Clash and saw this match, from about 20 feet away. Kelliher beat Ramos twice with Apple Valley's sweet shuck (a la Saitiev); Ramos could not stop it. The back points were solid; clearly a two-count. Ramos has gone 160 this year, so size was not the issue; finesse was. Ramos also looked gassed, and he was using a power game instead of his unreal quickness. Ramos might need to adjust his attitude about winning and losing: if one is not losing, one is not seeking out the best competition, which is what champions do. The Indiana coach might need to sit him down for a epiphanic heart-to-heart talk, if his high school coach does not. Big Ten wrestling doesn't tolerate prima donnas. (I've been there.) Vince Ramos remains a GREAT wrestler and a class act, despite what the video might suggest. Best of luck to him this year and in the Big Ten. He sure is fun to watch when he has his head together. He'll be in the hunt at Fargo.
he totally lost it!!! wow and then he was like swearing or sometin right? i think thats why the gave the AV kid one point at first and then he got DQ wow that like reeeely reeely sux... he should have had better control of himself
help him getting recruited? V.R. is alrdy going to Indiana University. He beat the number 1 ranked kid in the nation at this tournament, and about 3 weeks ago at the ironman in ohio, he beat mario mason, who is now ranked number 3 in the nation.
Wow he really lost his cool there. By the sounds of it his coach was about to tar and feather him afterwards. Obviously he got frustrated with the TD there at the end...he kept getting suckered into that same slide-by. The AV kid was tough though. What was the deal with the injury time anyway?
that was strange, looks like he just completely mentally broke down. doubt it was a weight issue though considering hes a 145 and bumped up to 152 for that match, id have to think he was still the favorite though
Why did he do that? He was stronger and quicker than the AV kid, just couldnt seem to snap out of it. The AV kid hung in there pretty tough after the intial 30 seconds of the match. He isnt all that great on top, but is proficient technically.
We are still looking for his headgear! If anyone has any knowledge in regards to the where about of this lost protective wear please contact [www.lostheadgear.com] thank you!
