Neil Birt St Eds v Matt Stephens St Paris

Wow, coaches and spectators getting way too excited. You don't see that often lol. Birt looks like he needs a month of r & r, but definitely a smart wrestler. Stephens has a ton of heart, he earned that one. I guess that's why we wrestle for six minutes instead of three.

That St. Paris kid is a stud. St. Eds kid showed horrible sportsmanship by not shaking his hand. It obvious who wanted it more

Are you kidding? That stalling was blatant. I normally cheer for Ed's, but Birt just couldn't keep up at the end. the St. Paris kid was relentless.

does anyone else wish the person videotaping these awesome matched would be quiet and let we fans just enjoy the wrestling without his opinions?

Good match. No pin at the end of the 2nd. EASY stall call at the end of the 3rd to send it to o.t. Nice to see a ref call stalling when there IS stalling.

Does that ref get paid per stalling call?

classic example of no heart. when the body gets tired the mind must continue. good fight by both men but its clear who is working harder in the practice room

ya there is a new rule where if you go out of bounds you can just call neutral and they will give the other guy an escape point.. it just saves some time instead of the optional start.

Yet another St. Eds kid running off the mat crying after losing the match... didnt even shake Stephens hand.... ZERO CLASS!!

i believe thats the way it is everywhere in high school now, not sure tho. i know its like that in indiana as well.

In Ohio do they not have to do an optional start to let the guy up? Stepehens would get takedowns and then they would go back center on their feet. What's the deal?

That is wrestling...what a match and way to gut it out Stephens. I was literally jumping up and down in my chair. I love this site.

Amazing how little time these two get to wrestle on the mat. Stalemate calls played a HUGE role in this match. Let the kids wrestle out of some of the tough positions...IMO
