I use to work out with Jimmy at the Univ of Ky. I didn't know who he was. I keep getting take downs against him. I should have kept wrestling, but now I'm still coaching and wrestling at 56.

Joe Carr is my wrestling coach. its really cool to see video of his brothers, and look up articles about the family because Coach Carr doesn't really like to talk about his accomplishments or his family. He is really humble.

I graduated HS in 1973 and wrestled Jimmy in an open tournament one summer in Michigan, prior to him qualifying for Olympics. 19-1 was the final. What a whirlwind!!!

I wrestled Jimmy Carr as a freshman in 1975 at the Southern Open In Chattonoga Tennessee during the Thanksgiving Day holiday weekend. He beat me real bad 13-3. He was fast!!. As far as I know he only wrestled for the University of Kentucky.

The Carr Family has 5 that were NCAA AA's. Fletcher and Joe who were head and ass. coach at Kentucky, Jimmy, Nate and Mike.
Jimmy did not place at the '72 Olympics. He dislocated his shoulder, happend out of bounds, after the whistle.
Another note about Jimmy - He had a broken leg before the '72 trials. Was not supposed to wrestle, was not able to train. He went to Kentucky, called his mom and said the Doctors cleared him and took the cast off his leg himself...then obviously won the trails.

I wasn't familiar with Jimmy Carr. What weight are we seeing here? I've seen Nate wrestle, of course, but haven't seen Nate Jr. yet. What other Carr's have wrestled?
