Welch v Bland, Foothill 2007
April 15, 20082007 Bland and Danz wrestled 171. Welch wrestled 160. At Foothill Welch wrestled up a weight class to try his hand. This bout is noteworthy for two reasons. Note the disparity in arm size between Bland and Welch. At the 5:14 mark of the video, Welch gives a hip heist. This was remarkable. Just before this move Welch looks to his corner and nods that this is what he is going to do. From my vantage point, there is unfortunately no scoreboard. It is pretty easy to keep score in your head. Welch won and I'm sure other posters will give the accurate score of the bout.
