I still remember those crossfaces. I don't think i'll ever forget that moment. I'm a single A wrestler who was preparing for his round of duels matside, i remember seeing that and how huge it was. The drama was so tense and thick you could feel the kid Monaco's pain.
ok stalling wassnt that bad of a stratagy he knew he couldent take monaco and if he opened up he might have gotten caught... so he did actully the smart thing to not let his team mates down by getting stuck and losing.. just my oppinion
The worst part was watching Monaco act like a total baby when he lost...laying on the mat instead of shaking hands. WAH WAH WAH! Coach Hahn has to start teaching some sportsmanship and how to act like a man and not a baby, and I'm not even a Montini fan! It was an embarassment to watch.
Danny actually received his fifth point from stalling in the second period at about the 4:10 mark. I cannot believe that he didn't get another call or even two in the third.
I think that this would have been a good time for a cement mixer. I don't know that I've ever seen an Illinois wrestler hit one though. Either way, that was a great dual. Too bad it occurred in the first round of the tournament, and GBN didn't get to wrestleback because of the stupid format that Illinois uses.
Saunders looked like he got K/O by the punches... Watch the other GBN matches and tell me if they never stalled. Thats all they do is takedown and stall on top.. The only agressors are Tony, Vince, Geno, and even Jamie and hey they all go to izzystyle how wierd is that?
