It might be debatable if Gable is the greatest wrestler ever. But who from the U.S. has made a greater impact on our sport than Dan Gable? Who in our sport can match his overall combined wrestling and coaching credentials? Gable pioneered the sport which has inspired thousands of wrestlers to accomplish more than they would have otherwise.

You cant call Dan gable the best wrestling ever. He only won olympics and wrold champ one time.That is nothing compared to what Karelin did.

I am an old man now, but I used to be a top flight wrestler. I hit the weights real hard my whole life and could outlift just about anyone, but Gable would have manhandled me because he had great natural power and leverage. Ask anyone who wrestled him and they will tell you how powerful he was.

I saw Dan at midlands when he moved up to get ready for the 72 olyimpics and the russians vowed they would find a man to beat Gable when I Saw Him I Knew they would Never beat him
