The only year from 1981 to 2009 where St. Mark's does not have an individual state champion due to reigning State Champion Kevin Butswinkas breaking his leg while drilling before the semis. Kevin Butswinkas and RJ George make the finals while Mark Bosick (3rd), Mark Dyer, Max Matthes (4th), State Spoor, Jamie Iudica (5th), Joe Amon, and Adam Pietelock (6th) all place for the Spartans.
