Wrestling 411: May 29 with heavyweight Tervel Dlagnev
May 29, 2009Bulgarian native Tervel Dlagnev didn’t start wrestling until he was in the 10th grade. Fast forward eight years later and Dlagnev had won two NCAA Division II heavyweight national championships and was a four-time All-American. With roots in Bulgaria but a home in Texas, Dlagnev is a solid contender to represent the U.S. at the World Championships, but has to beat Steve Mocco and a host of other wrestlers to be able to represent the U.S. What does he look forward to this weekend in Council Bluffs?
