May 28, 2009Maryland native Helen Maroulis made a decision to leave traditional high school life behind. In doing so, the 17-year-old is spending her senior year in Marquette, Mich., attending school and training as a part of the U.S. Olympic Education Center. Maroulis won the 2009 U.S. Nationals and was a member of the 2008 U.S. Women’s World Team, competing just weeks after her 17th birthday. What does the gregarious high school senior have in store for the World Team Trials?
