I am the owner of a marketing agency in California. I used to wrestle in high school and loved the sport. Now, I do triathlons and marathons. This is one of the best speeches I have heard. I wish I had a coach like you in high school. Now, I coach myself. Take care and keep up the great work!

The kinda vid that makes you just amazingly proud to be involved in wrestling. You're doing awesome things for these kids Krause. Keep it up! The Words of Wisdom...one of the best things I've seen.
We love Coach Krause! He is an amazing coach and absolutely fantastic with even the very young kids. He combines fun with learning and TONS of repetition which really works. He is also a great motivator, if you ever get a chance to hit one of his practices or camps -DO IT! You'll be LOVIN IT!
Krause = my kids favorite coach. The little things he does in practice stay with my son and I know its shaping him in a great way! This is how he is EVERY practice! Crazy intense! Glad hes on here.
As a modified coach, I applaud what Mike is doing. Great practice. I plan on using a lot of these techniques, motivational talks, etc. in my practice room. Thanks FLO!
We need more people like this guy. Its so important that kids at that age learn to enjoy this sport and have a good attitude, so when they get older they aren't burnt out or letting this sport ruin them.
If only there were more people like Mike Krause in the wrestling world...
I know that most everyone viewing this site has been to a youth wrestling tournament before, and how many times do we see the dads and coaches acting like complete jackasses.... If only there were more people like Mike Krause in the wrestling world....
We could use about a thousand more Mike Krauses teaching and coaching our kids.
I especially like his comments on how kids NEED to behave, win or lose. No crying, no throwing headgear, ALWAYS congratulating your opponent, win or lose. It is NOT about the single win at youth wrestling level. It IS about getting just a little bit better, each session on the mat or in the room. Champions in life are made that way.
