I hold tremendous respect for Burroughs, Poeta and their respective fans as well. No friggin whiners or excuse makers here.

Burroughs has just looked phenomenal. Great offense, great motion, unbelievable speed and timing. Congrats.
I believe Poeta is one of the best to never win a title. He is all of the things I listed above as well. Super good competitor. I sincerely hope to see him compete internationally.

Burroughs deserves the Hodge this year. It seemed like a slam dunk for Metcalf or Herbert, but Burroughs finished undefeated in a weight class that in a normal year had four guys (Gillespie, Poeta, Leen, Burroughs) that would have easily been locks for the national title. Four guys three national titles and one guy who's been ranked consistantly in the top three throughout his career. Historically speaking Burroughs has had one of the greatest years ever.
