coach said: The kid is a first year wrestler. That was his first cradle like that of the season. He had taken them over and stayed on top but had never been on his side in a cradle situation like that. He is 6'3 280 and can run a 4.8. Headed to Tex Tech with stories to tell about wrestling. Wants to keep wrestling and mma as much as he can. Turn down rides to Mich, Tenn and OU to go to Tech. He could be in the NFL someday. He difinately has the work ethic!
Maybe when he gets to Lubbock he will get a chance to put a cradle on WHITLOCK (Noble Hwt. state champ 07).
the ref should of been in better position. first, look at the kid's shoulders who is in criteria and in the defensive position. If he is pinned, call it. Award the kid who got control and initiated the move.
The thing that get's me is the coach asks the head official to ask the other official if the wrestler was pinned. The side official said the other kid was not even in nearfall criteria. Then asleep at the wheel told the coach that the other kid wasnt even getting back points. Wonder what he thought when the coach crammed the video in his face 5 mins later! Anybody know who that side officical was?

At what point when red was laying FLAT on his back did he think he was in good position?? Everybody knows to keep your shoulders off the mat when you cradle. Robbed? Nope. Pinnt? Yep.
The wrestler in red had control over the pin. The ref should have check the left side first and would have seen the pin before he would have got to the other side. The wrestler in red was Definetely ROBBED !!!! Where was this ?
Hey, watched this ref many times. He's consistent and makes fair calls.
Brave call here, not many would have caught this one, and then had guts to make the call.
Seen the same exact calls more than once in NCAA. Good call. Sucks none the less for the kid but it was the right call. Most ref's wouldn't have had the guts to do it.
