LOOK AT THE NATIONAL RANKINGS!!!!!!!!! QUIT COMING IN HERE WITH THIS STUFF!!!!!! YES MICHIGAN IS A VERY GOOD STATE, TOP 8 EASY, BUT SENIOR NATIONALS DOESN"T MEAN ANYTHING!!!!

most kids ranked (top 12):
PA: 21
OH: 19
NJ: 14
IL: 13
IA: 12
CA: 9
MN, MI, NY: 8

Also, AWN's top 40 features 5 teams from IL, 5 from PA no other states have as many or more.

DO YOUR RESEARCH!

STFU   March 21, 2008 at 10:43pm
Hey, Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and California shouldn't argue over how tough they are. Overall, they are top 5, period. Some years one state will have more finalists than another at the national tournaments, but the fact remains that they are all 5 very good and all the other 45 states cant hold their jock straps.

Dude   March 21, 2008 at 10:38pm
Its kids like this, his brother, and teammate Chris Phillips that make a three division - individual state championships seem stupid. I especially hated to see Roddy win his 2nd state title knowing full well the kid wrestling 2 mats down beat him already. I guess it doesn't matter in the end when you consider that it is only a state championship as opposed to a national tournament.

ohio u didnt respond to anything but the rankings and if ur gonna go by that then winston would be better than cubbs bc he is ranked higher i get u guys have more in the top ten but the reason 4 that is theres no parady evry year the same kid dominates and since your brackets in ohio are weak bc of the divisions it allows for more wrestlers to sneak into the top ten bc there are more state champs ... example if there was one division then a d3 state champ would be a 3rd place finisher and wouldnt be in the top ten

Ohio   March 6, 2008 at 10:24am
Also, Ohio has 16 4x state champs only because there are 3 divisions. If there was one division there would be MAYBE 3 4x champs. It may be harder on average to win a title in Jersey, but the BEST at each weight in Ohio would dominate the BEST in Jersey. Scott Winston would not win in Ohio. Cubberly would beat him again just like at Super 32. Don't talk about how it was a 4 minute match because Cubberly is also at his best when he has to fight hard late in the match.

Ohio   March 6, 2008 at 10:20am
Jersey you are an idiot. Look at the national rankings. Ohio has about 24 kids in the top 10, New Jersey has about 15. There are ten out of fourteen weight classes where Ohio has a kid ranked ahead of New Jersey.

Jersey   March 6, 2008 at 9:37am
jersey is deeper ohio may have the top guys but there has been many 4 time state champs in ohio theres only been one in new jersey the tournament is tougher because of the depth of talent and Blair wrestlers cant even wrestle in the states so if u include them then nj i think would win USA vs. NJ not OHio VS. Usa that should show jersey is better and its not a question jersey is better than florida

Jersey, d1 is large school, d2 is medium and d3 is small. d1 and d2 are about equal strength, while d3 is a bit weaker. Ohio is very top heavy, and Ohio's very best are the nations best therefore they make the other ohio finalists look bad. Of the 3 103 matches (for each division) 4 of the 6 kids wrestling are ranked in the nations top 12. Welcome to big ten country.
