I can't believe how people judge other people so quickly without ever meeting the person. He coached kids for 16 years let those kids judge him, not someone who never met him. The interview is all about wrestling not politics. He was at the Hall supporting wrestlers.

he also oversaw mark foley as he was sending inappropriate e-mails to a 16 year old page joe...was that also a reflection of his illustrious wrestling background? leave hastert and politics out of this...

yah the reason he was the former speaker of the house was because the republicans lost the house of representatives and it went to the democrats. not because he wasn't doing a good job, and take into account that when he was the speaker he was the second most powerful person on capitol hill behind the president, hes done a lot more than you have done knucklehead so i wouldn't be talking. And if you think he is a bully have you ever wrestled before? to get what you want you need to be aggressive, and thats a value that he took from wrestling. And maybe respect is something that you still need to learn

Keep the politics off this website, please!!! Who's next, Rumsfeld???? The last thing I want to see on this website is a bunch of Imperialist bullies talking about the "values" they've learned from wrestling!!! There's a reason he's the "former" Speaker of the House...

PA Wrestler, I'm really disapointed that you would use this forum to "slam" Denny Hastert. The man is a great American who has served his country well!

Excellent interview. It's great to see individuals who go on to be a success and remember their wrestling roots and values learned through the sport.
Not too many wrestlers make wrestling a vocation, yet everyone who wrestles takes the values, learned and reinforced, into the rest of their life.

Dennis Hastert's Take

Dennis Hastert goes into wrestling and how it played a role in his life and how wrestling helped his politics and how politics makes him look back at wrestling.
