Stephen and Gerry Abas have always been 2 of my favorite wrestlers. I truly enjoyed watching Stephen wrestle over the years....You are truly one of the greatest competitors that I have ever seen take to the mat!!! Good commentary with alluding to Miyamoto Musashi, also someone Dave Schultz studied. Not to get too technical, but Musashi was a Shugyosha, not a Samurai(these guys answered to a Daimyo, Musashi did not).
Basically, a shugyosha was an apprentice to the way of the sword and was self-trained. This makes his accomplishments astounding. Age 13-30 he was 60-0 in battles to the death! He then became so good that for the next 30 years he defeated every opponent without killing them!
