But that would be one to write about he will tell the story on how he favors his own and trys to confront kids on how come there leaving as if he doesn't know why. Look at his coaching staff they all left. Just the fat round one is still chasing him around just keep waving the banana in front of him. Zimmer only cares about his own and thats it. I was glad to hear Rodriguez beat Zimmers own in the Eagle House. Rodriguez would have been the one to place at state if it wasn't for Daddys favortism. I will be on the look out for Rodriguez next season. This kid will make a name for himself. Everyone in SoCal has heard what happened to this kid, and he is pretty respected down here. Way to go Rodriguez.Keep up the hard work it pays off in the end.

Heard he calls kids f-ing f--ots, thows stuf at kids, all kinds of stories. Something is very very wrong over there. Doesnt CW admin see there is a problem. Doesn't zimmer himself see that there is a problem????

Vince winning last proves he deserved challenge matches all along. I don't blame daddy Zimmer for taking away challenge matches because more than likely Rodriquez would have beat him. Zach is a great wrestler, but daddy should have let him earn it.

Awesome Job! (lol)   May 21, 2008 at 8:52am
This is a Clovis North Flo- not a CW, Season is over so get over it. Cook is staying at CW, Rodriquez is at CN. CN is coached by Mills and CW by Zimmer. Both Zimmer and Rodriquez will do there talking on the mat so allow them to, everyone hypes this up when all it does is affect the kids. Fact is Zimmer won everything in the room challenges when they had them, situation wrestling. Zimmmer placed 2nd in the state and was inches away from the crown, you cant argue that fact no matter what you think. This will be an exciting match up for the next two years. 1 1/2. I think CVWA needs a change next year, yeah you want to throw the best kid out there but, that's what the tournment is for. Kids who won there weight at the CVWA only got mop up matches to kids who decided not to compete and just come on and wrestle. So whoever said it's not all about winning and thru Zimmer under the bus, needs a gut check cause if you say that you have to include Mills in there also. (RUSHER)wow you got calls thru the season with people complaing.... lol.... your funny. Like I said before GOOD LUCK!

Rusher What ?   May 17, 2008 at 12:53am
rusher,
are you kidding me parents complaining about what was going on in the wrestling room ?you mean you are speaking about those nosey parents with too much money and more time on their hands to play scratch and sniff and detective ?
Those parents over their calling complaining are the same whiney parents trying to run other feeder schools and tell the admin how to do their jobs too
screw those parents they need not be in the room anyways they have no damm business in the room or rooms for that matter no matter the school.
parents need to parent and do their job under their own roof and let the coaches who are getting paid to help their kid become a college prospect become a college prospect and a better individual and great solid young men who will be an asset to the community which they will contribute later in life.
If anyone has noticed yet cwhs area parents tell everyone how to do their job and try and attempt to control everyone and hammer and fire coaches at their leisure just look at their football programs enuf said about those whiney parents at cwhs.Go wash your car yourselves and do the work yourselves get dirty your dam selves you selfish rotten spoiled overgrown kids that call yourselves adults

i got all the complaints about zimmer but we have secretly been having an affair and i was afraid he was going to blackmail me. During the meeting with the Rodriquez family coach zimmer was rubbing on my leg the whole time.I just had to favor him. Im sorry I was weak I blame myself for the down fall of the wrestling program. It just was worth the two minutes he would give me.He shortly left me after the season. I can wait till next season im sure he will be looking for my "help".

(give him his due) you don't know what your talking about. No one really knows what statements were said or how Rodriguez was treated only the family and Zimmer. But for what it's worth Clovis North got the better end of it because they have such a talented kid on their team. You don't take wrestle offs away in the middle of the season. And what do you mean threaten law suits cause as far as im concerned if there were any don't you think it would be going on right now. There were so many parents from CW that called me and complained about situations that were going on in the wrestling room, and what Zimmer was telling kids, but it seems to me no one made a complaint but this family. If he is such a good guy then why did he lose Gary Quintana in the begining of the season. As far as I know when my son wrestled for Coach Roberts that was his right hand man. I'm glad this was my sons last year there.

Accusations? Ok,that family has him not telling the truth on a recorded conversation with the a.d. at C.W. Why lie? That high profile kid proved over the weekend who was right in that situation. As for Travis he is a stand up guy because when Rodriguez came over he was not gonna bump anybody out of the line up if Vincent was ok to wrestle.

Give Him His Due   May 16, 2008 at 12:12am
Am not sure that I would agree that Travis "recruits" just under the impression that his facilitys and new location have breathed new life into the guy.
He is making good strides as far as most are aware.
Most can see the staff of CWHS and athletes are moving one by one and for good reasons.
However for his first season taking on a high profile kid who had issues with Zimmer Inc. I am sure that probably did not sit well with him and caused headaches more than progress for him being the new coach.Certainly that political side of the deal probably did not sit well with him to have to start the year off with a kid and his parents who make accusations and threaten law suits etc
This Coach Mills is a standup guy and seems to be personable with most anyone however I believe most have seen this guy cares about what he is doing and loves the sport.
Travis brings his own philosophys into the room and the people who surround him it certainly is refreshing to have a quality guy like him around!
But like any clovis coach does they are really trying to keep their own and hope others dont stray from their room even for workouts with other quality kids somewhere else for some reason in this ever so competitive school district everyone is fighting for kids or to keep kids for that matter.

leave zimmer alone already.Im sure if he could do it all over he would let Rodriguez continue to wrestle off for the spot, treat his excellent and proven coaching staff (friends) better and listen to his parent support club, not talk crap on the newly retired hall of fame coach and cook would stay because everybody else would of stayed. He just blew a chance to run for a state title.I bet the guy cant sleep at night. But at least his son took 2nd in the state.

all the clovis coaches work hard. If they don't they're out of work. Credit CN AD Tim Simons for finding an energetic staff for the Broncos. Simons coached football at Clovis before going to Fresno State. Wrestlers were the backbone of his championship teams at Clovis. He knows that a great wrestling team helps football and build school morale.

You'd be hard pressed to find a coach outworking Travis Mills. I have coached elementary for eight years and I've never seen a high school coach more connected with the elementary wrestlers and willing to put time and effort into their improvement. North is lucky to have him. It won't be long before North is battling Clovis High for top dog or Bronco.
