Bio:	There is no "type" of wrestler that Ben can be catagorized as. He has created a whole new genre that is unique with his rolling and pinning style. He has created a whole new genre that is unique with his rolling and pinning style. Ben over the last two years of his college career was flawless. His first two years were not half bad either, each time going losing in the finals of the NCAA tournament. Ben Askren will mostly be remembered for the entertaining fashion he wrestled his matches. He always had fun and always put on a show for the fans. In 2008 he won the U.S. Nationals and Olympic trials and competed in the Bejing games. Since then he has continued on as an volunteer wrestling coach and has begun training mma at American Top Team in Columbia, MO. His first fight is likely to be in early 2009.

Well maybe you should jump off the bandwagon and cut the mentality talk...Askren got squashed in the Olympics. On the international level he's not so hot. Maybe he will be in a few years...but he needs to stop the Disneyland talk about winning. Saitiev often shows low self-esteem in interviews, and even appears mentally weak. But he kicks everyone's butt and is no doubt among the top 5 greatest wrestlers of all time. Determination is not enough. reply

If you people don't like him, you evidently don't know anything about him and should quit running your mouths. I personally am sick of reading negative BS about Ben. He as accomplished more in the past 10 years then 10 of you negative Ben bashers could accomplish in a life time. Anyone who invents and perfects tactics and moves is special. He has raised the bar for all 74kg contenders and that is a good thing for USA wrestling. Look out for Max as well. reply

One thing to talk about Pritzlaff for his international record, but name dropping them in a tourney that they didn't place? Just sounds like sour grapes. Because it is. Too cocky?
