Silvers wouldve pinned but grey would not have beaten brascetta. Grey's good but brascetta's without a doubt the better wrestler.

blair shouldnt have moved anyone up. because silver would have won and grey would have won to. graham started the fire when the won 3's 12's and 19's and they shouldnt have.

this was the most biased ref ever!!

every single call was in favor of SPG! (takedown, escape, lightning fast nearfall counts)
both teams, great. love wrestling, keep wrestling!

hvolbeck was hit for stalling in the first period because he had the ankle trapped for 5 seconds and didn't do anything. don't complain about the refs just because a match didn't go your way, the refs tonight were great.

Your are right about the rule that prevents AV from traveling to the Ironman (It was late and it slipped my mind) but I would still like to see them wrestle a stronger schedule to be considered #1

I think they would if they could but i think minnesota has some rule stoping them from traveling that far.

If you look in the back of your rule book there is a picture showing a cowboy ride (scooping the near ankle with you heal and hooking his leg with yours) and it states that if you have it hooked and your hips are up and in then it is two even if he is still has your far leg. Well at the end of the 119 match you see SPG hook the ankle for the cowboy ride and he even reaches around the far hip for clear control before the buzzer goes off. The official is well within his rights to signal the takedown after the buzzer goes off in fact he even checks with the side official to be sure it happened before the period ended. Watch it again without your Blair colored glasses on. And just so you don't think I am a homer I thought the back points at 103 were BOGUS.

As a GA coach who watched the Blair/ Collins Hill match I was hoping that the 3 point loss meant that the Hill was that good but my original assessment seems to be more on target......Blair looks human this year. As for the Apple Valley / SPG debate I would lean more toward SPG because if they beat Wadsworth this week then they will have beaten 3 top 10 teams (St Eds being the 3rd team) in less than a month. Other than beating Brandon at the Cheesehead what other tough national hurdles have AV cleared. Lets see AV and Brandon come to the Ironman and then we can include them in the conversation.

Just remember the best way to not get pinned or give up back points is to STAY OFF YOUR BACK!!! Boys make excuses, Men get results. Stop whining!

St Paris is 25 minutes North of Dayton. Also only being about 50 minutes West of Columbus, you can to go catch Ohio State wrestling on Sundays.

I don't know why anyone wouldn't want to live here.

your right , the takedown and pin calls were too quick for my liking. But Blair looked lethargic on their feet, like they were in slowmo. What was up with that ?

I don't even think he was flat in the 130 match, I saw some space. These ref's were clearly favoring Graham a little bit. But don't get me wrong, Graham was on their game and deserved to win.

Fantastic match and atmosphere....tremendous HS talent! Buxton is a great coach, but if I'm #1 in the country, I don't play games with my weight classes.... I line-up and wrestle....it probably cost Blair the match.
