Well he's at my alma mater of Oregon Clay now. I hope he wrestles there next year, but I have my doubts - I think he's gonna want to get back to Graham. He's gonna miss coach Jordan and training with Isaac and Bo Jordan among all the others. From a coaching perspective - he will get a lot of attention and help from guys Carmen Amenta and the Clay staff. If he stays in the area, Clay is where he will have the best facilities and coaching available - and a strong fan base. Will he become the first ever state champ at Clay?

Graham will be lucky if they have one (Micah) middle school state champion this year. They have no upper weights in the pipe. Transfers are expected.

Riddle me this how can a Middle school program only have 13 kids go out, but yet maintain a high school program that is in the top five each year. Not try to pick fight just a simple observation.

its crazy to listen to the commentating at the beginning of the match.... and to think that he had no idea that Martinez was gonna hit a "big move" which produced "fireworks" because everyone knows he likes to "cement mix".... its almost like the announcer knew what was coming

St. Paris Graham is a public school located in St. Paris, Oh.

Really?   February 1 at 8:27pm
What is with all of the doubters here? To say Felipe is just a big move kid is an insult. I guess you ignored the other two takedowns he got in this match? His only real high school loss is to Villalonga in his FIRST EVER high school tournament; I guess that means he can't hang with the top dogs? Dziewa is great but I don't think he would beat Felipe.

Yes, I do. After he beat Collin Palmer last year, David did something similar. I don't see anything wrong with either situation. A huge win against a great opponent in a huge dual merits a little crowd pumping, I think. It's not like he was taunting anyone.

Great match... but it is very rare that you see that kind of skill fighting off your back. Props to both wrestlers.

FYI, you may be right but remember this kid is still only a sophmore, kid will be an absolute BEAST in college. P.S. what is up with villalonga wrestling up a weight everytime he is up against a tough kid at 140? First Dziewa now Martinez. You dodging people to keep that record unblemished son? Can't do that in the Dapper Dan though, should be exciting.
You are correct he is only a soph but RIGHT now he is not top 3 IMHO. He's a big move kid and that's great but guys like Kindig, and Dziewa are solid meaning they're less likely to get hit by something big OR they'll turn it into a fall. No doubt this young man has talent and I'l looking forward to seeing him down the line.

Big Ted,
If you watch the interviews it's clear that the lineup was entirely decided by the coaching staff, not Villalonga. If you have no evidence to sest that he's ducking competition you should not throw out accusations. Wrestlers as elite as Chris have no reason to duck other great wrestlers. Keep in mind Villalonga wrestled at 145 a number of times this season before the weight jump those last two referenced duals.

Martinez is good but doesn't touch Villalonga, Kindig, Dziewa, or Shober head to head. Kindig would have 2 Fargo titles were it not for Alton and Dziewa already has one. If #8 Hartenstine gets on top of him he gets turned multiple times.

Just like to say a couple of things. First off I have no affiliation with either team, and am not from either state. I just like great wrestling, and the things you guys are saying on here is racist and slander and just goes to show how imcompetant you all are. Get an education and grow up.

This is why I love ohio wrestling because look at spg head movement and motion. Blair isn't doiing it and the score reflects it. You have to move good people with head movement and fakes. That is why this team is so good. Not to mention they have closed the gap with pa in the riding and scoring from top.
