I agree Ty has a horrible attitude, and all he does is brag! If you meet him it's totally obvious, what a jerk!

Yeah, there is Montana tough, and then there is city-slicker New Jersey and Pennsylvania tough. Last time I checked, city-slicker New Jersey and Pennsylvania tough was the tough that was winning more matches.

Ty is one of the nicest people and greatest competitors out there. It seems as though this was an interview that was just spur of the moment and should be taken as such. I know that he missed a few really good people from Montana and am sure he feels bad, but you get the general idea. He does mention that if you had to break Montana down into two catagories it would have to be cowboy tough and mountain man. He also mentions Pat Owen whose dad is a teacher but is also a mountain man. It is just the difference in what activities you do outside of the wrestling room. Montana has vast open areas with a large variety of landscaping and therefore plenty of opportunities to get different sorts of fun "workouts" in. Personally I feel as though those are some of the best workouts. The reason he is on here is because he is a 3 time all-american and isn't "average". He has put forth more effort than most and dedicated his time to this great sport and continues to do so. If you have to bash him please keep it to yourself and your friends, he deserves nothing but respect for his accomplishments.

there are plenty of guys in Montana who aren't mythic like Todd is presenting - plenty of guys from towns and cities with parents who are teachers or workers of some kind or professional people throughout Montana - what this video puts forth is that you fall into two types of mythic identity. What about "average" people from across the state who don'[t get on video telling stories about their work on farms and mountains??
They aren't considered real Montanans.
