Ha Ha! My senior yr in HS, after wrestling season, varsity baseball mad us run a 6 min mile. One of the stupidest and easiest things I've had to do to make a team Like the approach by Charles of busting their tail, seperate the men from the boys, so to speak.

6 Miles At 6 AM

The ASU boys kick off Hell Week with a brisk 6 mile run at 6 in the morning. It was only 85 degrees at this time. This is a nice warmup for their plate and track workout that follows at 3:30 in the afternoon when the temperature will be a breezy 110 degrees.
