No Ivy's have "slots" in the sense that they are "free" for the coaches to hand out. All IVy's have the ability to admit people who have special achievement skills but whose scores ( and less frequentily grades) are lower than the typical student. There are enough really smart, really good wrestlers to fill up the Ivy's and the Stanfords, Northwesterns, UVa's and Dukes of the world. But there aren't a lot more than that and some stay home rather than going, which makes the recruiting game a tough one.

The last few minutes reminds me of the old Oklahoma comment........that the administration is doing its best to build a university that the football team can be proud of.

Not necessarily true, Ivy. I know for a fact that both Harvard and Cornell have "slots" like the ones alluded to in this video. That makes it much easier to get into as a wrestling recruit. Does anyone else know which Ivies have slots and which don't?

Yeh, ummmm pretty sure Duke and the Ivies are just as hard if not harder. Gotta say Princeton is the toughest though...

Stanford Admissions

Getting into Stanford is unlike getting into any other school. Stanford only takes the academic elite and does not reserve slots for students below any of their academic standards. Coach Blake talks about the Stanford experience and that it is not a hard sell.
