Noel Thompson in college majored Bryce Hassman and beat Carl Fronhoffer in college and highschool. Both those guys finsihed 2 & 3 at 84kg at the world trials and are now on our national team. But I can tell you knowing Noel he gets more joy out of coaching. He once told me when I was in Highschool "In life anyone can control their destiny. But to get others to believe in their destiny is a much harder task". Weird thing is I still remember that as a coach myself now on highscool level. Good dood glad I know the guy. Hopefully he stays around for a while he has a big career ahead of him.

Noel Thompson is one of the best collegiate wrestlers to have never made All American. A fantastic wrestler at Hofstra University and a mulitiple time CAA champion. I'd love to see Thompson back on the mat again. He was a fun wrestler to watch on the mat and I believe he'd be "great" without a doubt if he were to get back on the mat.
If not, it sounds to me like he's one hell of a motivator and a coach. Great ambassador for the sport, his passion is unmatchable.

Noel, you need to lace them back up and get back to competing. You were pretty nasty as a freestyler.
