first of all the majority of heavywieght takedowns are results of the other heavyweight mistake. would you want to mess up on a shot and lose a national championship?

That match had a whole lot of nothing. Their should have been more shots. Brock never should of tried to stay behind and let him up it was a big mistake

It looks like Lesnar forgot that he lost when they shook hands. You see him raise his arm up like he won and then he kinda realized that the ref was raising Neals arm since he won the match. Look at about 12:05

That match sucked. Why warn both men for stalling if you are going to let them continue to stall the WHOLE match. I don't even know why they were sweating. That kind of wrestling gives the sport a bad image. It's boring.
Sometimes I think HWT wrestling is a whole different sport than the "little guys" - but to be fair, think of how much more weight they are dealing with: you weigh 133 & you're on your back, you're trying to bridge 266 lbs; you're a HWT in the same position, you're trying to bridge 500+ lbs. Sure you have more muscle, but not THAT much more.

And about the sweating - ever tried isometric exercises? Hold an isometric move for 6 minutes & tell me again that these guys shouldn't be sweating.

IMHO wrestling will still lose more and more top level guys to MMA in the near future.

Within two years in MMA (if you're good at it) you can make way more than if you had stayed in wrestling .. Sad, but that's just the way it is guys.
Also, for those that are aspiring to become coaches and think that's a way to make good out of wrestling ... seriously, most coaches pull down far less a year than what Brock made for his fight against Mir ... again, sad but very true.
I think that guys like Joe Warren have the right idea ... Just stay active in MMA and yet still hit the big tourneys leading up to the next Olympics. It's a win - win situation for both wrestling and the wrestlers themselves.

lesnar was stiff the whole match and barely shot and narrowly escaped stall calls. i guess he got alot more aggressive when he started fighting in the ufc

Lesnar has got to be more active in that 3rd period and try to score! He kept it close in the first two periods but he didnt try anything in the 3rd.

Not the most exciting, barn burner match, but its to icons in professional sports competing on an amateur level.

I left in the cheesy commercials for comedic value.
