A reference to prison and San Francisco in the same post. sounds like you may have more than a little familiarity with that sub-culture.

Wouldn't it be fun to get to wrestle before one of the nation's biggest and most vocal college wrestling fan-bases? VMI regularly has more wrestling fans show up than most other college wrestling programs, as this fanbase national rankings documents:

It's so loud in their wrestling auditorium that they call it the Thunderdome:

I didn't go there but I have heard that VMI alumni loyalty is reportedly a leader, nationally. Graduates know that fellow graduates know how to do more with less, and that they did more than party during their formative years... ROTC scholarships abound @ VMI, and they give wrestling scholarships too. For more info:

Wanna guess which Virginia college or university reportedly has the #1 alumni loyalty rate in at least that state, in terms of job hiring and the like? Reportedly it's VMI. Alumni know that graduates have learned to be patient, tolerant, dedicated and resilient. Would you prefer hiring some guy who partied for 4+ years at one of those other colleges? And no, I did not go to VMI.

If I wanted to get royaly screwed over by other guys just to prove a point I could just go to prison or San Fran. Their is a difference between building someone up into a team player and just messing with them. Sounds like a lot more messing (just because it was done to them before) than building.

Now I know one place I can check off my list for college. LOL. JK. Sounds like a tuff place where you do a lot of growing up and get prepared for the world.

The Rat Line

VMI treats their freshman as the low man on the totem pole. They put the freshman through a half year of intense physical and mental training, this is known as the Rat Line.
