Martin, if there is anyway you could take the background music out of this video we could use this to promote wrestling with a whole new group of people. There is a host of a radio show here in Minneapolis who calls horse races that would really appreciate this video. I hesitate to send it to him because it's hard to understand....

I spent high school summers back in the early ninties with this guy. Weeks on end picking his brain. Him, Shelby Wilson, awesome men. Learned a front headlock, American single, and a "G D AMERICAN TWO ON ONE, it's NOT a Russian boys, now damn it."
Great story...Dallas Rise was a 189 pounder from Goshen High School, hilarious, I was a 112 pounder, Dallas would make Blubaugh laugh and he'd pass out right in the beginning of a wrestling session. Dallas would say, "Blubaugh tell us again how big your pecker is....Blubaugh would start gigglin, and he'd say "Rise, you son, son, sooon of a bitcccc....booom down, passed out because of his narcolepsy. We'd go run wild for a little while and come back to make sure he was still laying there.

What a great take on horse taming. No one could make up a tale like that. This man is definitely in a class by himself. Thanks Martin for your interview. Makes you want to get to know him more.

Doug is a true champion and warrior. I'm honored to know him. Doug is the oldest Olympic Wrestling Gold Medalist for the NYAC.

Doug drove 12 hours to get to NYAC. Wich was very impressive being that he is 73. We offered to fly him but Doug does not take the easy road.

The first thing Doug asked me was not where was his hotel room is or what time he had to be at the party, but when I can I do a clinic for the kids of NYC before he went home.

In order to lead you have to serve. Doug Blubaugh TRUE AMERICAN HERO!!!
