Dave Miller is the man who implemented the pay athletes program as well as hired Bender back in the day. Dave was running USAW pretty well and the athletes were paid more then the athletes today could imagine being paid. Its a huge problem when they athletes usually have familys and children, it doesn't make it easy to concentrate on just winning medals. Then you throw MMA in to the mix and you start losing top athletes due to the fact that they can get PAID! At least Penn State us making a statemant by paing Cael what they are, that is so awesome. USAW needs major help and has for awhile, we need some real Marketing, advertising and sponsors as well as work with MMA in some realm instead of dismissing it. Who knows?

i heard an interesting story about how usaw was offered a chunk of money and had to do nothing to receive it other than place an ad on their site and usaw turned it down because they said they couldn't afford it.

yes I know that makes no sense but that was the story. we got some real genuises running usaw(sarcasm).

The U.S.A. wrestling Committee is light years behind the Russian's and other Countrys when it comes to paying Wrestlers in this Country...if u Win a Gold Medel in the U.S. he just said it "Maybe" $40,000.00..... in Russia u win a Gold Medel u come home to $1,000,000.00 if not more...Then u get paid $5,000 to $7,000 a month for the Next 4 years to Train....Tell me are we Behind....Wake up....WHY...?

Great video flo! We are so screwed with this guy! We need an frigin stud steering the wheel! A Dana White type business go getter! Who cares about making this sport grow because his check depends on it! This guy is going to get his check regardless. I'm sure he cares....But dude! I heard no passion in the entire interview! except from our trusty interviewer! Great job dude!

He keeps saying rights fees what the hell are the rights fees and what and who pays for the rights fees for what. Is someone paying a rights fee to not cover all USA events. Still trying to wrap my head around the rights fee issue.

The highest paid athlete outside of HC is a women. Come on there is not 10% the numbers in womens wrestling as there is mens. Why does USA wrestling not team up with the UFC I know they want to I heard it from Dana myself
