I was impressed by Perkins, not so much by Bass. Bass moved around alot but did not engage. Perkins played Bass, the clock, the mat, and the guy with the camera. I love it when he says, "oh Perkins is just there straight-legged like a Russian" and then WHAM the sweetest duck made him swallow his gum HAHA. Even the Ref tried to help Bass after the takedown with 30 secs left he brought them back to the middle when they were clearlyinbounds and the ref only reacted when Perkin's coach told him to pull him back, giving Bass a fresh start he didnt earn. Then the lil punk bit him, and yeah I can call him a lil punk because HE BIT HIM. In my experience in 25 years of wrestling, I dont think this was the first bite of Bass, Usually a reasction bite is when a kid is hurting in a hold or on his back getting pinned. When a kid bites on a 2-on-1 to get an escape that premed. and he was pretty smooth but he had to make a choice, hide it from the ref or hide it from the camera. I dont care how far he goes in life, he will always be the lil punk thats a bitter (can you say YOUTUBE)

Wow, what a little punk. Someone needs to treach that little sh1t some class. Just because you are getting your ass beat doesn't mean you bite somone. Perkens should have done an optional start and kneed him in the face.

Perkins is a ignorant N!gger, he uses only uses strength. This kid will not be as good when he is older. His brothers were very succesful youth wrestlers, but not very good in highschool. Also if his brother is at a junoir college proves more of my point

I watch JaVaughn wrestle everyday, as I am an assistant coach for the team he represents. He always competes with class, we as coaches pride ourselves on instilling this in all our wrestlers. As for his talent level it has the potential to be "off the charts" he's only 12, he and his brothers remind me of the Opher brothers who wrestle in Ohio for S.M.C.C.

Ben   April 13 at 12:00pm
I've seen all the Perkins boys wrestle and they have always wrestled with class. I don't doubt if Javaughn reacted the way he did and said he was bit, then he was bit. WIth that said, his coaches are are right. It doesn't matter what if the other wrestler does something illegal, don't change your game and keep wrestling the way you wrestle.

For Bass' sake, I hope this was an isolated incident and done on impulse w/o clearly thinking it through. I doubt it happens again either way.
As for some of the comments on here, I don't know the family personally, but think that some of the comments should be toned down. Is there really a need to clarify Perkins but stating "the black kid"? Not saying anything more than just refer to them by their names.

Too bad that a wrestler has to resort to a bite to win a fight. I is very, very clear to us that know wrestling, after watching this video four times, that without question JaVaughn was bit. I do not know either wrestler, just happened to watch this video and was shocked to see what I saw. To those who said "Bass didn't wrestle like he usually does". I hope your right, chewing up your competition, is meant to be a figure of speech. Is this a case of too much hype and pressure put on too young a wrestler. You can hear all the Hype in the Video. Makes you wonder what happened to the good ol days! When Kids wrestling was for Fun & Fundamentals, and the experts in youth sports thought Regionals was as far as youth needed to be tested in competition. Now there is a National Tournament every weekend, and was this at the Worlds? A World Tournament to me, would imply other countries right? I can't wait for the Intergalactic Championships, I've always wanted to wrestle an Alien.

their names are unique that is what's up with it and it's RaVaughn not Revaughn get it right if you have something to say. all three are talented wrestlers and their names have nothing to do with it.
